Visiting the BEST Outlets in Ohio!

Growing up, my family was always in search of deals and bargains when shopping retail. Some of my fondest memories were when I was able to go back-to-school shopping as a fun day trip from Lima to the Outlets. I would get a backpack from The North Face Outlet, some cute clothes from Old Navy, and my favorite body spray from Bath & Body Works. And now, even at 27, I love venturing to the Outlets late-Summer to go shopping as I enter my 17th year of school (2nd-Year Grad-School Student, ha!). My favorite outlet center in Ohio is Tanger in Columbus; with over 100 stores AND being centrally located in the middle of the state!

And if you are reading this between now and August 8th, it is Tax-Free week in Ohio! The sales tax holiday is intended to help families with back-to-school necessities as well as other substantial purchases during a time when so many budgets are strained. Tax-free purchases can be made on eligible items up to $500; including at Tanger Outlets in Columbus! Here are some of my favorite stores to visit at Tanger:

Kate Spade

Appealing to a younger audience, Kate Spade has quality handbags and accessories but in fun patterns, colors and styles. I really love their crossbody and wristlet selection, perfect for school and on-the-go! I snagged an adorable bracelet duo while visiting. I also appreciate that Kate Spade, especially the outlets, have reasonable price points; perfect for those wanting to branch into lower-level luxury!

Coach

Fun Fact: Coach and Kate Spade are under the same company umbrella! Coach has more of that timeless classic look and really pays homage to New York style. Their pea-coats and handbags exude quality.

Nike

I cannot get over how much the Nike Outlet at Tanger Columbus has. Their selection of shoes, including the popular all-whites, is fantastic. I am a huge fan of their joggers  and sports bras too. My husband, Justin, purchases all his athletic shorts and socks from the Nike Outlet! This store gets VERY busy on weekends, so I recommend checking them out on a weekday during the Tax-Free holiday!

Old Navy

Quite possibly my favorite outlet in all of Tanger, Old Navy has always been my go-to store for this season’s fashion at reasonable prices. When I visited, they were starting to get in their Fall Apparel! I purchased a couple pairs of jeans and some basic tees to pair. They also have fantastic athletic tanks to workout in. Old Navy also is size-inclusive, carrying up to a 20+ IN STORE. As a plus-size woman, there is no worse feeling than not seeing your size in store and being forced to order online (which is wild because a size 14 is a common size too). So many stores at Tanger offer a wide variety of sizes for all body types which is comforting.

Aerie

I recently have gotten back into the Aerie brand for casual wear, denim shorts, and undergarments. They have quality pieces and because they are at Tanger Columbus, great prices. I picked up a really cute pair of ripped denim shorts on my trip for $16!

Gap/J Crew

Has anyone else noticed (and love) the Oxford comeback? They are timeless classic pieces that can be styled up for the office, down for running errands, or out for places like a beach! Gap and J Crew have the best selection of Oxfords at Tanger and most are under $30 because of the deals!

These are just a few of my favorite stores to shop at when visiting Tanger Columbus; there is so much more! When visiting, I always like to snag a Starbucks to stay caffeinated when shopping; and there are fun activities happening most weekends! Second Saturday is one of my favorite times to visit, there’s usually food trucks, local merchants, live entertainment, and giveaways! If you are looking for the best deals without the crowds though, I highly recommend visiting on weekdays if possible. Let me know your favorite places to shop at Tanger Columbus and hope to see y’all there soon!
